What's New at LGVC

Congratulations Beth! - On July 24, 2008 our lead receptionist Beth gave birth to a baby boy!  (Pictured left) His name is Wyatt and he was born 6lb and 7 oz.  Congratulations to your newest family member!


New Digital X-Ray Machine - LGVC just purchased a modern digital x-ray system that allows us to transmit the x-ray images immediately to board certified veterinary radiologists for their interpretation.  Digital x-ray machines have the added advantage of much less radiation exposure to the patient.  Additionally, these machines reduce the time to process the film, allowing the doctors to give you advice sooner, as well as improves the comfort of your pet during the x-ray process. This is a great new addition to LGVC that very few other veterinary hospitals in the area offer.

New Equipment to Check Blood Pressure - We recently purchased a petMAP which is a device used to check blood pressure specifically in dogs and cats. As with humans, making sure your pet has a normal blood pressure level will help keep him or her healthy and may help detect potential health problems early on.  If interested in learning more, you can read about the petMAP at www.petmap.com.   

Great Charity Organizations - LGVC recently heard about two fantastic organizations that help support America's troops and animals both overseas and at home. 

Baghdad Pups: Helps bring US troops' dogs home from Iraq 
Vet Dogs: Provides guide dogs to wounded soldiers
